Some use version 1.17 to avoid KFX ebooks altogether but now that Amazon is forcing this update it’s going to cause issues for those that still use older versions of Kindle for PC/Mac. Transferring books and documents with the Send to Kindle app is easy. Removal of KFX DRM isn’t yet possible with newer versions of Kindle for PC. You can upload files through the app, which syncs with your Kindle and appears in your library.

Once your books and documents are in the right format, here's how to send them to your Kindle from your Apple device. The Kindle for PC and Kindle for Mac programs use Amazon's KFX format for most books. If you have the wrong format, you can fix this easily with an online file converter. If you cant find the Kindle app, tap the More option and select Kindle. Scroll through the application options and select Kindle.
Long-press the document you want to send and choose Share from the context menu. You can find a complete list of supported file formats on Amazon's website.
